First of all a  Fashionista is a fearless shopper, one who is so fabulous that her style extends past economic constraints.  Unlike general “fashionistas,” we aren’t slaves to trends. In fact,  fashionistas pride themselves on their ability to forecast trends and save money by being ahead of the curve.  Some of us are fashionistas by choice and some by necessity, but we’re all fabulous.

• Examine items carefully. We do not offer returns. We try to look over incoming items carefully but may miss something.
• Simply Chic is a world different from a thrift shop.  Thrift shops tend to take a broader range of items, while we tend to be more selective.  For example, we don’t take items that are more than two years old, and all items must be in excellent condition-no odors or pet hair. Ask to be added to the shop’s mailing list for coupons & special’s.
• If you like it, buy it, It may not be there when you come back.  Always check a size smaller and larger than you normally wear, designers size their items differently, so you should always try on the items before buying.

• Buy what you love and love what you buy;  Repeat this tip to yourself before you enter a consignment shop, while trying on clothes in the dressing room, and while waiting at the cash register , feel empowered to say no to useless trends, stand-alone pieces, and designer items that make you look anything but your absolute best.  Approach shopping like you would approach a marriage.  Would you marry a person you just “liked”?
